Startup Day @ Bolton Library

We're joining together with the Greater Manchester Libraries' Ask About Business network and the British Library for Startup Day 2019!


Across the region there will be a day of FREE talks, expert workshops and tailored advice to get your business idea off to a flying start.

Here at Bolton Central Library, we've a packed morning of events and activities:

Networking for Success Coffee Morning

Join us over coffee and pastries for an informal chat with Business Advisors from the Business Growth Hub and Santander.

10.00am - 10.45am  

Start Smart from the Business Growth Hub

John Cannon from the Business Growth Hub's Start Smart Team will talk about the basics of turning your idea into a business and what help is available from the Business Growth Hub.

10.45am - 11.45am

Social Media for Business

Adam Whittaker from People Plus will take you through the basics of social media for those self-employed or running a business. This introductory workshop will cover the fundamentals of generating leads through social media and how to use the platforms to raise your profile.

11.45am - 12.00pm

An Introduction to the Complete Business Reference Adviser

Get to know our fantastic free online resource for business - COBRA. A valuable source of information for anyone starting up or growing their business.
