Come along for lots of fun activities at Bolton Library and Museum Services’ venues (from Saturday 27 May to Saturday 3 June).

Day Of Song with Outreach Opera

Bolton Central Library and Museum, Saturday 27 May, 10am to 4.30pm

Join us for a day of celebrating many great poets and composers through a series of pop up concerts.

Elmer Day!

Saturday 27 May

Join us as we celebrate Elmer Day and come dressed as colourfully as

you can! There will be Elmer stories, an elephant trail, craft fun and songs.

Come along and see what you can make at our free drop in craft session. Suitable for ages 4 to 11.

Pop along to our drop in craft session.

Awesome Origami

Breightmet Library, Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 May, 9am to 12pm

Join us for these free fun-packed origami workshops during half term.

You will be shown how to make original, awesome origami models to take home and wow your friends!

Places are limited so please book by calling Breightmet Library on 01204 332352. Suitable for children aged 6 plus.

School holiday activities

Bolton Central Library and Museum

There will be a fish feed at 1pm on Tuesday 30 May and Thursday 1 June.

We will also have a craft session from 1.30pm - 3pm on Tuesday 30 May and  Thursday 1 June.

Amazing Animals activity session

Hall i th’ Wood Museum, Tuesday 30 May, 12.30pm to 2pm

Visit Hall i' th' Wood Museum this half term for an animal themed craft and trail around the hall.

Cinema at the Crescent Holiday special - Pete’s Dragon

Bolton Central Library, Wednesday 31 May, 2pm

Watch this fantastic family film! Under 12 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. Light refreshments for sale.

Racing Reads

Horwich Library, Friday 2 June, 11am to 12pm

Get yourselves in training for Horwich Racing Festival! Join us for a morning of reading and running. We’ll be reading stories on the library steps and racing around the library just to get you in the mood for Horwich Racing Week.

There will be fun and games from 11am until 12pm. You can sign up for Horwich Racing Festival: 

Awesome Animals activity session

Smithills Hall, Friday 2 June, 1pm to 3pm

Pop along to Smithills Hall for an animal themed craft session plus the Woodland Trust will be doing an outdoor trail and making birds from pieces of willow.

Robo masks session

Westhoughton Library, Friday 2 June, 2pm to 3pm

Join us at Westhoughton Library this half term where we will be making robot masks. Free event and no need to book.

Saturday Club

Bolton Central Library and Museum, starting from 3 June, 1.30pm to 3pm

Join our new Saturday Club, where each week you can take part in free activities.

All the activities are free and no need to book.
