Bolton Library and Museum Services

Home Library Service

The Home Library Service is a free home delivery service for Bolton residents.

Am I eligible?

Do you have difficulty getting to the library due to mobility problems? If so, we can help.

How do I get in touch?

If you would like to find out more call Farnworth Library on 01204 332344 to speak to the home library staff or email homelibraryservice@bolton.gov.uk

How does it work?

When you join you will be asked to give us an idea of what you like to read and whether you would prefer standard, large print or recorded books.

What can I borrow?

We will deliver up to 6 items and you keep them for 2 weeks.  Deliveries take place throughout the year, except for Bank Holidays.

Who will deliver the books?

Your delivery will come by Library Link staff or by a regular volunteer.

Can I volunteer to deliver books?

Yes. Details of all the volunteering opportunities available at Bolton Library and Museum Services are available on the Volunteering page.
